Natural gas wall furnace rebate
Connect to gas and install a direct vent natural gas wall furnace for efficient heating in a small space, and you could be eligible for a rebate of up to $1,200 ($1000 rebate + $200 bonus). Additional rebates of up to $1,050 are available when you install an eligible natural gas hot water heater and fireplace at the same time.
Why install a wall furnace?
A wall furnace—also known as a direct vent room heater—can be added to your home’s existing heating system to reach those cold spots in your garage, basement or workshop, or provide cost-effective heating for a home where the ducts and venting required by a central heating system aren’t feasible, such as a cabin or laneway house.
Gas customers can also choose to sign up for Renewable Natural Gas,1 which works seamlessly with regular natural gas appliances like wall furnaces and water heaters.

1Renewable Natural Gas (also called RNG or biomethane) is produced in a different manner than conventional natural gas. It is derived from biogas, which is produced from decomposing organic waste from landfills, agricultural waste and wastewater from treatment facilities. The biogas is captured and cleaned to create RNG. When RNG is added to North America’s natural gas system, it mixes with conventional natural gas. This means we’re unable to direct RNG to a specific customer. But the more RNG is added to the gas system, the less conventional natural gas is needed, thereby reducing the use of fossil fuels and overall greenhouse gas emissions.
