FortisBC welcomes provincial commitment to support energy affordability

KELOWNA, B.C.—February 22, 2024: Statement from Michelle Carman, vice president, customer service and external communications:

The Electricity Affordability Credit announced in the Government of British Columbia’s budget today will benefit the families and businesses we serve in the Southern Interior.

FortisBC is working with the province on the details of this credit. We will share this information with our customers when these details are available in the coming weeks.

As the province’s largest energy provider, delivering both gas and electricity to our customers, FortisBC is committed to providing energy solutions for British Columbians that are safe, reliable and affordable, and we welcome this initiative.
