New Partnership Helps Advance the HVACR Industry in BC
Jul 14, 2020
July 13, 2020 - The Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) has launched an exclusive new strategic partnership with FortisBC to bring more technician training to the HVACR industry in British Columbia.
With financial support from FortisBC and delivery through their BUILTbetter and Trade Ally Network programs, HRAI is expanding industry training in British Columbia with the shared goal to provide the industry with resources to build better performing, and safer homes and commercial buildings.
British Columbia is a consistent leader in Canada when it comes to implementing policies and strategies to address climate change. This new partnership between HRAI and FortisBC helps key industry stakeholders and local governments to realize bold climate goals through the built environment.
As the leading non-profit association for the HVACR industry in Canada, HRAI deals with wide-ranging challenges from coast to coast. Strategic partnerships like this help us meet the needs of members locally while also supporting the advancement of the industry nationally - particularly in BC where bold climate goals are driving an upswing of modern heating and cooling technologies.
– Sandy MacLeod, President and CEO, HRAI
FortisBC is pleased to partner with HRAI to bring even more information, tools and training to the HVACR industry in British Columbia. Through the BUILTbetter program, we’re helping to raise the bar on new and existing high-performance buildings and the quality installations of high performance natural gas appliances.
